Fees, Healthfunds & Payment Plans

Payment Options & Fees

Transparent fees. No hidden surprises.

Dental fees aren't regulated by any government body in Australia, which means each practice sets its own schedule. At Anzac Avenue Dental, we aim to keep our fees within industry standards. Our prices reflect the skill and experience of our team and the quality of the materials and equipment we use.

Before we start any treatment, we'll always provide you with a written treatment plan and fee estimate. You choose the option that suits your needs and your budget. There are no unexpected costs on the day.

We'd also caution against making decisions based on phone quotes alone. What looks cheaper up front can sometimes cost more in the long run if the materials, technique or thoroughness of the work differs. If you're unsure about treatment recommended elsewhere, we're happy to provide a second opinion.

Health Funds

We accept most major health funds

We're a preferred dental provider for the following health funds. As a participating practice, we charge the fees set by each fund for included treatments, which keeps your out-of-pocket gap as low as possible.

The gap you pay will depend on your level of cover. If your treatment falls outside the fund's included codes, we'll give you a treatment plan so you can check your rebates before you commit to anything.

HCF

Preferred provider for HCF members. Reduced out-of-pocket fees on included treatments.

CBHS

Preferred provider for CBHS members. Gap fees on included treatments are significantly reduced.

Westfund

Preferred provider for Westfund members. Your gap will depend on your level of cover.

Smile.com.au

Smile.com.au is a dental plan that gives members access to reduced fees at participating practices. Some treatment item codes have a set fee, while others receive a percentage reduction off standard practice fees.

Anzac Avenue Dental is a participating Smile.com.au practice. The following health funds have partnered with Smile.com.au, so their members automatically receive reduced fees with us:

  • Defence Health
  • People Care
  • GMHBA
  • frank
  • Budget Direct
  • health.com.au
  • Australian Unity

Using HICAPS? We have HICAPS available in-practice, so you can claim your health fund rebate on the spot. Due to privacy laws, we can't access your membership details or claims history directly. For any questions about your specific cover or rebates, contact your fund directly.

Government Programs

Government-supported dental care

We're happy to see patients through a range of government programs and schemes. Please let us know at the time of booking which program applies to you so we can prepare the right paperwork before your appointment.

Children aged 2–17

Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) provides up to $1,000 for dental care over a two-year period for eligible children aged 2 to 17. In most cases we'll bulk bill directly to Medicare, so there's no out-of-pocket cost unless the benefit limit is reached or the treatment isn't covered under the program.

  • Up to $1,000 over two years
  • Bulk billed directly to Medicare in most cases
  • Please advise us at booking that you're using CDBS
  • For more info, contact Medicare on 132 011

  • Some restrictions apply
  • Contact the Department of Veterans Affairs to confirm your eligibility

State-issued vouchers

Government Dental Vouchers

  • Advise us at the time of booking
  • Conditions apply — confirm details with us before attending

Use Your Super

Pay for dental treatment with your superannuation

You may be able to access your superannuation early to cover the cost of dental treatment through the Early Release of Superannuation (ERS) program, administered by the Australian Taxation Office.

Supercare is an external service that manages the application process on your behalf. They handle the paperwork and liaise with the ATO, so you don't have to navigate it alone. The process can cover a wide range of dental treatments, including major work like implants, crowns and root canals.

Supercare operates independently of our practice. Contact them directly to find out if you're eligible and to get started.

Supercare

What it can cover

Before you call around

A note on phone quotes

In some cases we can give a rough fee estimate over the phone, but it will only be a guide. Fees can change once we've assessed your specific situation in person.

  • Phone quotes are a rough guide only and may change after assessment
  • Comparing quotes between practices can be misleading if the treatment, materials or approach differs
  • We're happy to see you for a new patient visit or second opinion if you're unsure about treatment recommended elsewhere
