Dr Andrew Gerber
Dentist – BDSc (UQ), FICOI, PGDip Ortho
Dr Andrew Gerber – Andrew graduated from Queensland University in 1994 and spent two years with the Royal Australian Air Force before moving into private practice in Queensland. He has a particular interest in implant and cosmetic dentistry and has built a reputation on providing exceptional quality restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Andrew’s interest extends to neuromuscular dental care, facial growth development orthodontics and airway management incorporating sleep apnoea and snoring treatment. He has undertaken extensive studies under Dr Steven Olmos, founder of the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre and Dr Steve Galella, founder of the Facial Beauty Institute, which has given him the knowledge to assist patients who have acute and chronic pain, airway issues and facial growth development. He has also studied with the renowned Las Vegas Institute. Andrew is a member of the Australian Dental Association. He has also been contracted by some of Australia’s largest dental supply companies to provide clinical training for other dentists.
Andrew has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics through The OrthoEd Institute and has been recognised as a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Away from work, Andrew is an enthusiastic cyclist and skier. He was part of the coaching team at Toowong Rowing Club where he has coached a crew of junior schoolgirls to medals at National Championships. He is married to Nicole and is outnumbered at home by females, with 3 daughters.
Dr Yohann Sooltangos
Dentist – GDip DentSc
Dr Yohann graduated from Griffith University on the Gold Coast in 2017 with a Graduate Diploma in Dental Sciences and had been working in private practice in Port Macquarie before moving home to Brisbane and joining our team.
He understands that seeing a dentist can sometimes be a bit daunting so his primary focus is making sure his patients always feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible. He believes that dentistry is continually evolving and improving so he aims to stay up to date with new techniques that are faster, more efficient and more gentle to provide the best treatment for his patients.
He enjoys all the different fields of dentistry, including preventative and cosmetic work but he has a particular interest in implants and prosthodontic work (dentures, crowns, bridges, veneers).
Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his young family, swimming, soccer and food.
Dr Macey Jones
Dentist – B. Dental Science (Honors) (UQ)
Dr Macey graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Queensland. Originally from regional Queensland, she now calls Brisbane home. Dr Macey has a calm and friendly manner which makes her a favourite with our patients who value high quality care in a relaxed environment.
Dr Mariska Taverne
Dentist – BDSc (Hons) UQ
Dr Mariska Taverne completed her Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Queensland and worked on the Gold Coast before joining us at Anzac Avenue Dental. She has an interest in all aspects of general dental care and is a favourite with our very nervous patients. She is bi-lingual in English and Dutch languages.
Outside of work Mariska loves to cook and our staff room is often filled with tasty treats.
Jeff
Oral Health Therapist – adult scope of practice
Jeff graduated from the University of Otago in New Zealand and completed his adult scope qualification at Sydney University. He loves working with people and is passionate about helping to improve the health of teeth and gums, knowing how important it is for overall health and wellbeing. Jeff heads up our hygiene program and assists our patients with their routine preventive care visits, periodontal treatment and children’s dental care.
Nicole
Practice Manager and Treatment Coordinator
Nicole has been looking after the business, administration and human resource components of our practice for the last 20 years. Her background is in general nursing, women’s health and health education and she oversees the maintenance of our high standard of patient care. She coordinates the exceptional service you will experience each time you visit us at Anzac Avenue Dental. She is available to discuss your treatment options and answer any questions you may have before, during and after your treatment. Along with many years of clinical and management experience, Nicole has degrees in Nursing, Arts (Sociology and Social Science), Graduate Diplomas in Midwifery and Community Health Education and a Masters in Health Care Management and Leadership.
Mel, Tracey and Lauren
Front Office Coordinators
Coordinating appointments that fit in with your schedule is a priority for us at Anzac Avenue Dental. Mel, Tracey and Lauren have extensive clinical and administrative experience in the dental industry and will work with you to manage and organize everything you need both before and after your visit.
Brittney, Wendy, Georgia, Lauren, Courtney and Summah
Clinical Dental Nurses
As the backbone of the clinical team, our dental nurses are highly trained and skilled in all areas of dental and patient care. Infection control, radiation exposure, equipment and stock maintenance and patient comfort are a vital part of any modern practice. Brittney, Wendy, Georgia, Lauren, Courtney and Summah will assist your dentist to provide you with the highest possible standard of care.

Sleep Dentistry
If fear or anxiety has been keeping you out of the dentist’s chair, sleep dentistry may be worth considering. Using IV sedation or general anaesthetic, we can carry out a wide range of treatments, from routine check-ups through to more complex procedures, while you rest comfortably. For many patients, it makes dental care feel manageable again.
